What are Facings?

Facings are a special type of ultra-thin veneers by Cerinate.

Similar to traditional veneers, Lumineers can reshape your teeth and give you that perfect smile makeover. Facings can cover gaps between teeth and enhance the appearance of worn-down and discoloured teeth.

The main difference with the traditional system is that Facings are made of a special patented cerinate porcelain. This porcelain is very strong and yet much thinner than traditional laboratory-fabricated veneers. One may compare their thickness to contact lenses.

The main advantage of Facings is in the minimal required tooth preparation. In the preperation phase prior to bonding over your natural tooth, very little (if any) natural tooth structure is removed through shaving or grinding.

Due to the fact that the natural tooth structure stays intact, the procedure is often reversible.

Facings are the only veneer system clinically proven to last for more than 20 years.
